Far Out Maine started as a dream with two goals:
Give clients the opportunity to customize their Maine adventure, from small touches like a favorite meal on a public trip, to fully customized private trips. We want to personalize your Maine experience!
Give Registered Maine Guides a place to design and run their own trips without needing to take on all of the business overhead themselves. This includes taxes, insurance, payroll, marketing, equipment inventory, and trip logistics -- just to name a few!
We believe in the value of small, personalized adventures that allow guides to express their own creativity. After you take a trip with us, you will be a believer, too!

Some of our guides have designed their own trips, so they can show you their favorite parts of Maine. Others prefer to lead or assist on existing trips as needed.
